The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is the government body responsible for the operation of telecommunication services in Pakistan. The authority was established by an Act of Parliament in 1973 and is regulated by the Pakistan Telecommunication Commission (PTC). The PTA is an independent body and is not affiliated with any governmental or private entity.
The DIRBS is a new verification system for the SIM-based devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices. The system is designed to enable the PTA to track the usage of these devices and to prevent unauthorized SIM-based registration. The PTA will be able to block any device that is not registered with the authority.
